Monet, like the painter

Monet is an actor, singer, and all-around creative who calls New York City home. Born and raised in Redondo Beach (the cutest coastal city in Southern California) she grew up heavily participating in her local community theatre: The Norris Theatre, to which she attributes ALL of her success. Her first role was a munchkin in the Wizard of Oz, and a decade later (after spending most of it inside a dark theater, rather than at the titular beach of her hometown) she moved to NYC to attend NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where she earned her BFA in Drama from the New Studio on Broadway.
After college, Monet was cast in the Off-Broadway Barrow St. revival of Sweeney Todd, as the standby for Johanna, the Beggar Woman, and Adolfo Pirelli (yes, the production was as epic as you've heard!)
She then joined the closing company of the National Tour of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical as the standby for Carole King, Cynthia Weil, and Genie Klein, after having auditioned for this musical for....SIX...years. Dreams do come true, kids.
Then, as if touring around all of America wasn't enough, Monet flew off on a Japanese tour of Disney on Classic, a concert series featuring Disney movie scores performed by an outstanding symphony orchestra. She was singing the soprano line for The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Tangled, it was... truly epic.
Monet has gone on to play Carole King in FIVE regional productions. Last summer, she was at the Guthrie playing Fraulein Kost (and understudying Sally Bowles!) in Cabaret.
Let's make some magic together.
